Just when you're thinking "what the hell Sandi? where did the ODDs go?" I come back to haunt your journal inbox LOL!

So this will be the first feature since stepping down as gallery director for stock (and consequently - David is now back to senior member status so send all those DD stock suggestions to LawrenceDeDark!). MAKE SURE IT'S STOCK or I'll send out the hounds !

I wanted to do something special - so here is the plan.

We have a contest to put on!!! HORRAAYYYY!!
This will be my own personal contest that is starting NOW and ends on November 7th 07 (my 31st birthday )

I want to see your greatest OH NOES face (shock, disbelief etc) - can be from any genre, from anything at all (animal, mineral, veggie etc ) I will be posting examples for ya - but the main idea is just to get everyone laughing. This was a place of lighthearted fun - not just my page but dA in general - I'd like to bring the egos back down to size (my own included) and have a giggle.

Is the old bones of the earth,

My grandfather's grave is empty and he plays twiggy trumpet jazz
While my grandmother dances
with his shadow
and her hair like a willow.
Smoke trails from their fingertips
and leaves their lips laughing clean at the sky.
Georgia is burning,
and ashes rise from the sea
Ashes spiral up from the mountains
to dance
All Souls Crescent
and rising MarriageI see you fell alseep
with the light on again.
I watch your inner child dream
of peaceful things.
A snort, a puff, a full-on snore.
I shake the bed with silent laughter.
Speaking from my rear,
you wake.
Your open eyes betray
The love you feel inside.
Until you start to search
for matches.
You drape across my chest.
We talk of unimportant things
as shadows hide the
August moon.
I fetch us ice cream sandwiches
through our darkened home.
The light turned out,

like Pleiades navigating my course as your words glow for me.
thoughts flowing free at the mere essence of you,
your vibrant lessons of truth replacing the grim aggression's hue.
your presence renews my strength, like soothing balm for my blistering soul;
fills the hollows of my withering mould and makes me feel eternally whole.
so no matter my current state of being of my failed past endeavours...
